Diamond prize for happy bride-to-be

A BRIDE-to-be will sparkle down the aisle after winning a diamond pendant in a competition held at a Worcester News bridal show earlier this month.

Sian Richards was presented with the necklace, worth £400, by a Worcester jewellers after guessing the weight of the diamond.

Miss Richards, who is getting married in September, 2009, saw the competition being run by David Christopher Jewellers at the Worcester News Three Counties Bridal Show. The 25-year-old , who lives in Northwick, Worcester, said: “It is a really pretty necklace. I’m going to save it for special occasions.”

Catherine Worton, area manager of David Christopher Jewellers, a family-run business which has one of its 14 shops on the Cross, Worcester, said: “We have a very excited bride-to-be. She correctly guessed that it was 25 points.”
