JEWELLERY designed by Fakenham students will soon be on sale nationwide in both Asda and George stores.
Emma MacIntosh (15), Annabelle Hastings-Knowles (18) and Katy Groom (18) will have their individual silver earring and pendant sets replicated in their thousands in time for the forthcoming autumn season.
The marketing coup came about thanks to a collaboration between Fakenham High School and College and the Hatton Garden’s-based silversmith company IBB London, as well as Asda.Around 80 textile students took part in the design project as part of their GCSE and A-lastNovember. They were provided with a creative brief by IBB sales director Barrie Dobson and supported by the school’s head of textiles Dianne Wood.
She said: “I taught them how to research a brief, create trendboards and moodboards and also make clay models of jewellery ideas.”
