Damas bags prestigious De Beers Award

15 08 2010

Diamond giant De Beers will bring on two new South African diamond projects worth 2.2 billion rand in the next two years.

The strategy will be designed to create a place for other South African diamond participants and their black economic-empowerment partners.

De Beers says it is selling some assets considered to be marginal in order to invest in the new projects.

The important black economic-empowerment element will be intended to facilitate deals with smaller mining companies.
